I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of Abai!
The creative and intellectual heritage of the great thinker occupies a special place in the treasury of world and Kazakh culture. His teaching is a moral compass and a life guide for our people. He spoke about the problems of society without embellishment, warned against idleness and laziness. Abai belongs to the idea of "Tolyk Adam" – the concept of an "Integral human personality", which is the deepest in its content and relevant at all times, in other words, the path of self-improvement and spiritual growth.
This year, we celebrate Abai Day against the backdrop of a large-scale transformation of the state and society. The People's Constitution of Kazakhstan has entered into force, and the process of updating all government institutions has begun. This is a truly epochal period, laying the foundation for development for many years to come. This month, the first elections to the Kurultai in our history will be held. A unicameral Parliament will give a new quality to our reforms.
The essence of the transformation is to give a powerful impetus to Kazakhstan's progress and strengthen creative values in society. In matters of forming a new social ethics, strengthening national identity and popularizing humanistic ideals, we always turn to Abai's work. The great poet and philosopher saw the future of the people in the pursuit of knowledge, diligence, responsibility, prophetically called for unity and harmony. "Words of Edification" is an inexhaustible spring that feeds the entire value system of modern Kazakhstan. The conceptual ideas of "Adal Azamat", "Taza Kazakhstan", "Law and Order" form the basis of a harmonious society, which Abai dreamed of. Now we are building a Fair, Strong, Progressive Kazakhstan.
I am convinced that the legacy of the great thinker will continue to serve the education of genuine patriotism and love for our Motherland.
