“Barys Eco-Park – A New Recreation Area in Konaev”
A tree planting ceremony marking the foundation of the Barys Eco-Park was held in the city of Konaev. The event was organized as part of the environmental initiative “Taza Kazakhstan.” It was attended by Akim of the Almaty Region Marat Sultangaziyev, Chairman of the Regional Maslikhat Kuat Baigodzhayev, as well as city residents, young people, civil servants, military personnel, and representatives of the public.
In his speech, the head of the region noted that environmental issues are of particular importance in today’s world. According to him, Konaev, as the administrative center of the region, is developing dynamically, and the Barys Eco-Park will become one of the symbols of this progress.
The project, covering a total area of 10 hectares, will not be limited to landscaping alone but will become a modern recreation area for residents and visitors of the city. During the ceremony, 200 poplar seedlings were planted, and in the future, the number of trees is planned to reach 5,000.
In addition, landscaping works are being carried out in stages across the territory. Pedestrian paths will be built, lighting systems installed, and benches provided for visitors’ recreation. According to the plan, the eco-park is expected to be fully completed and opened by the end of the year.
