Cooperation Between the Almaty Region and China Reaches a New Level
Akim of the Almaty Region Marat Sultangaziyev paid a working visit to the People’s Republic of China, with Chairman of the Regional Maslikhat Kuat Baigodzhayev also taking part in the visit.
During the trip, the delegation familiarized itself with the activities of several major enterprises and international companies. Specific projects in agriculture, logistics, industry, and green energy were discussed, and important memorandums were signed. The delegation explored opportunities for introducing modern agricultural technologies, developing high-quality seed production, expanding deep processing of products, and increasing export potential.
In addition, discussions focused on enhancing logistics capacity, establishing an industrial park, introducing 3D construction technologies, and developing cooperation in biotechnology.
In the city of Xi’an, a meeting with BYD was held to discuss opportunities for the production of solar panels and the development of green energy.
As part of the visit, a meeting was also held with students from the Almaty Region studying in China. They were encouraged and expressed confidence in their future contribution to the development of the country.
The agreements reached and initiatives put forward are expected to increase the investment attractiveness of the Almaty Region and contribute to bringing the regional economy to a new level of development.
