National Currency Day – Tenge Day and the Day of Financial Sector Workers

Dear residents of the Almaty Region and financial sector workers!

I sincerely congratulate you on one of the significant holidays of our country — National Currency Day — Tenge Day and the Day of Financial Sector Workers.

On November 15, 1993, Kazakhstan introduced its own national currency — the tenge, thereby strengthening its economic independence. This historic step gave a strong impetus to the formation of an independent financial system, the transition to a market economy, and the sustainable development of the country. Today, the tenge is one of the main symbols of independence, stability, and the strong economic foundation of our state.

    Dear residents of the region!

I express my gratitude to all of you for your contribution to the development, stability, and socio-economic progress of our region. Your work and civic responsibility are the driving force behind the growth of the Almaty Region.

    Dear financial sector workers!

You ensure the stability of the country’s financial system and make a significant contribution to effective decision-making across all sectors of the economy. May your work bring you success and professional fulfillment!

I wish you good health, prosperity for your families, and success in your professional activities. May peace and unity always prevail in our country, and may our path of development continue to be successful!

    Sincerely,
    K. Baigodzhayev
Chairman of the Almaty Regional Maslikhat
