The State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan notes that it had previously announced the planned entry into force, on July 1, 2026, of new customs regulations concerning e-commerce goods.
This date was established in accordance with a directive from the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, which stipulated that the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union must be prepared to apply the new rules starting in July 2026.
At the same time, one of the EAEU member states has not yet completed the domestic procedures required to ratify the amendments and additions to the EAEU Customs Code. Consequently, the unified rules cannot enter into force simultaneously across the territories of all member states, and their implementation date is therefore being postponed.
The new effective date will be announced separately once all member states have completed the necessary domestic procedures and the relevant decision has been adopted.
Participants in foreign economic activity, e-commerce operators, and other interested parties are requested to take this information into account when planning their operations.
