On November 6, 2026, Amb. Nurgali Arystanov, Chairman of the Board of the Kazakhstan Agency of International Development (KazAID), held a meeting with Iwai Sakura and Takasaka Muneo, Coordinators for Central Asia and the Caucasus at the East and Central Asia and the Caucasus Department of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
During the discussion, achievements in strengthening cooperation between the two agencies and organizing joint development projects in the region were particularly noted. Specifically, this year the parties organized a Regional Seminar on Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience for Central Asia in Almaty, as well as an entrepreneurship development seminar in Talas and Bishkek.
Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their intention to continue further cooperation for development and expressed mutual interest in exchanging experience and knowledge in the field of ODA.
