Tbilisi, 2 November 2026 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Georgia Talgat Aduov met with President of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) Timur Turlov.
The discussion focused on prospects for cooperation between Kazakhstan and Georgia in chess, including organising international tournaments under the auspices of FIDE and implementing joint projects aimed at promoting the sport among children and young people.
Timur Turlov was elected President of FIDE on 26 September 2026 at the organisation’s General Assembly in Samarkand, with the active support of the Georgian Chess Federation.
