Strasbourg, October28,2026 – As part of the celebrations of Republic Day, the Kazakh Consulate General organised Kazakh ALEM university master’s students’ visit to the Headquarters of the Council of Europe. The visit was arranged in partnership with the International Executive School of Strasbourg, where participants were introduced with the activities of the Organisation, its role in the European political area and its main tasks.
The master’s students were given a tour of the Palace of Europe, including a visit to the plenary chamber of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The Kazakh delegation had the opportunity to observe the proceedings of a plenary session of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.
Additionally, a briefing was held on the Organisation’s activities in combating cybercrime and on prospects for cooperation with Kazakhstan in this field.
The master’s students were also familiarised with the main areas of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Council of Europe, and discussed current aspects and interaction prospects.
