Berik Soltanbayev, who previously served as deputy akim of the Auezov district of Almaty, has headed the Almaty Department of Entrepreneurship and Investment since September 29 of this year.
Berik Soltanbayev was born on April 28, 1990, in the Almaty region. He graduated from the Kazakhstan Multidisciplinary Institute "Parasat," the International Educational Corporation, the Kazakh National Agrarian University, and Narxoz University. He has education in the fields of construction, engineering and technology, law, and business administration.
He began his career in 2008. Over the years, he worked in the private sector, the Almaty city branch of the Nur Otan People's Democratic Party, the KGU "Qogamdyq Kelisim," and the office of the akim of the Medeu district of Almaty.
From 2017 to 2018, he headed the department for the development of entrepreneurship and industry of the office of the akim of the Medeu district; from October 2018 to June 2022, he served as deputy akim of the Medeu district. From June 2022 to June 2024, he headed the Almaty Department of Entrepreneurship and Investment, and since May 6 of this year, he served as deputy akim of the Auezov district.
