On 24 September, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting with Tomáš Urubek, Head of the Migration Policy and Foreign Relations Department of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic in the field of migration policy and discussed current issues related to the stay of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Czech Republic.
Particular attention was paid to the voluntary return of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who are staying in the Czech Republic without legal grounds, in accordance with the applicable readmission agreement.
Mr. Urubek noted the positive dynamics and constructive nature of cooperation with the Kazakh side, emphasizing the importance of the established cooperation in this area. He also highlighted the role of the Embassy in maintaining an effective dialogue and facilitating the prompt consideration of issues of mutual interest.
The parties also discussed further facilitation of visa procedures for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan applying for visas to the Schengen area. The importance of continuing cooperation in this area, including through engagement with the European Union, was emphasized.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue constructive cooperation, as well as to maintain regular contacts and exchange information on current issues of bilateral cooperation.
