In the third quarter of 2026, an event entitled “Reading Without Borders” was held among inmates at Facility No. 9 of the Department of the Penal Enforcement System (DUIS) in the Aktobe Region as part of the “Education Without Borders” project.
The event was attended by a staff member of the Sagi Zhiyenbayev Regional Library for Adolescents, Acting Deputy Head of Facility No. 9, Major of Justice A.A. Tuleulov, and Head of the Unit of the Department of Social, Psychological, Educational and Correctional Work, A. Baigambetov.
During the event, the inmates were informed about the importance of reading and introduced to literary works from the library’s collection. Participants selected books of interest to them and received reading recommendations. They were encouraged to use their free time productively for self-education and to improve their knowledge and overall level of learning.
