
Lastayev Artur Ermekovich
Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan
Born in 1983, Almaty. In 2005, he graduated with honors from Al-Farabi Kazakh State University with a degree in International Law. In 2007, he obtained a Master’s degree in Fundamentals of Economics and Law from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. In 2015, he completed graduate-level programs in Criminal Justice at the University of the Virginia, USA (Certificate), and at the FBI National Academy, Quantico, USA (Diploma). In 2018, he earned a Master's degree diploma in International Law in Armed Conflict at the University of Geneva, Switzerland.
