Almaty region is located on the south-east of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The regional center - Konaev city.
The territory of the region is -10.5 million hectares.
The Almaty Region includes the Balkhash, Enbekshikazakh, Zhambyl, Ili, Kegen, Karasai, Raiymbek, Talgar, and Uygur districts, as well as the cities of Кonaev and Alatau.
