Azerbaijan: entry to Kazakhstan
Nationals of Azerbaijan travelling on an ordinary national passport are subject to “Visa free”: a stay of up to 90 days in any 180-day period is permitted. This rule covers short visits; work, study and residence follow separate procedures.
Before travel
Check whether a visa or eVisa is required, passport validity, the purpose of travel, tickets and accommodation. An electronic visa must be obtained through the official portal before departure.
At the border
Present your passport and, where required, a visa or printed eVisa. Border authorities may request evidence of the trip purpose, accommodation and onward or return travel.
After arrival
The host must notify migration authorities of a foreign national’s arrival within the prescribed period. Notification does not replace registration or a permit required for a specific purpose.
Short-stay travel purposes
Tourism
Holidays, sightseeing and visits to attractions within the permitted stay.
Private visit
Visiting relatives or friends; the host must fulfil the applicable migration duties.
Business visit
Negotiations, conferences and business meetings without taking employment in Kazakhstan.
Transit
Travelling through Kazakhstan to a third country; visa requirements depend on nationality, route and leaving the transit area.
Other purposes
Work, study and long-term residence require separate visas, permits or residence status. This service does not calculate those requirements.
