    Questions and answers

How is the monthly payment calculated?

Average monthly income over 24 months is multiplied by 40%. A 10% pension contribution is withheld. The law caps the amount and keeps the net payment from falling below the fixed care allowance for that child's order.

How are twins or triplets calculated?

A social payment is awarded separately for each child. The calculator determines each child's order and applies the corresponding statutory minimum.

    Who can receive the payment?

The recipient must be a compulsory social-insurance participant who actually provides care and loses income. If several participants care for the child, only one receives the payment.
