What this service calculates
The calculator shows the one-off state birth grant and the monthly child-care allowance up to age 1.5. For a multiple birth, each child's amount is calculated separately using that child's order in the family.
The monthly state care allowance is calculated only for a parent or another carer who is not a participant in the compulsory social insurance system. The income-based Social Insurance Fund payment for an insured worker is outside this calculator's scope.

Questions and answers
How is the grant calculated for twins or triplets?
The grant is awarded for each child. Birth order is determined separately: if the family had two children before the birth, twins will be the third and fourth children and different grant amounts will apply.
Who is the monthly care allowance calculated for?
The state care allowance is for a person caring for the child who is not a participant in compulsory social insurance. An insured worker may receive a separate income-based Social Insurance Fund payment, which this calculator does not estimate.
When should an application be made?
Applications for the birth grant and care allowance must be made within 18 months of the child's birth. The authorised state body confirms final eligibility and the amount awarded.
