Nurmukhanov Bakyt

Nurmukhanov Bakyt Maratovich was born on May 13, 1979 in the village of Kalzhyr, Kurchum district, East Kazakhstan region.

Graduated from East Kazakhstan State University with a degree in Law. Candidate of Legal Sciences (2000).

In the same year, he began his career as a lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure of the Faculty of Law of East Kazakhstan State University.

Since 2003, he has been working in the office of the Constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan: consultant of the Legal Department; chief expert of the Legal Support Department; chief expert, сhief сonsultant, Head of the analytical work sector of the Legal Expertise Department (2003-2006); adviser to the Chairman (2006-2011); head of the Legal Expertise Department (2011-2017).

On August 1, 2017, he was appointed to the position of Head the Office of the Constitutional Council.

Appointed as a judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan (from 01.01.2023).

Since 2008, he has been combining the functions of liaison officer of the European Commission for Democracy through Law of the Council of Europe (Venice Commission).

He was conferred state and other awards of the Republic of Kazakhstan: "Yeren enbegi ushin" medal (2012), anniversary medals "Kazakhstan Constituciyasyna 10 zhyl", "Kazakhstan khalky Assembleyasyna 20 zhyl", " Kazakhstan Constituciyasyna 20 zhyl ", "Kazakhstan Republikasyn prokuraturasyna 25 zhyl", "Uzdik memlekettik kyzmetshi".
