On August 28, 2026, the regional August conference of education workers of the East Kazakhstan region was held on the topic: «Human capital, education, progress — the core values of the People's Constitution».
The plenary session of the council was attended by the Akim of the region Saktaganov Nurymbet Amanovich, Vice-President of the Ybyrai Altynsarin National Academy of Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtarkhanova Gulshat Toktasynovna, social partners, university rectors, college directors, heads of district and city education departments, representatives of the pedagogical community, and veteran teachers.
As part of the event, an exhibition of innovative digital technologies was organized. At the plenary session, the Head of the Education Department of the East Kazakhstan region, Okasov Kuat Barysovich, delivered a report «Results of the 2025–2026 academic year and new tasks for the upcoming academic year», which comprehensively reviewed the main outcomes and promising directions for the development of the education sector.
Also, within the framework of the conference, sectional platforms were organized in 9 areas: preschool and primary education, educational work, inclusive and special education, the introduction of artificial intelligence, the work of teachers in the humanities and natural-mathematics fields, librarianship, psychological services, management, as well as technical and vocational education.
During the conference, a number of teachers were awarded state and regional awards, as well as badges of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan: the «Құрмет» Order — 1 teacher, the «Ерен еңбегі үшін» Medal — 1 teacher, the «Еңбек ардагері» Medal — 2 teachers, the title of «Honored Teacher of the East Kazakhstan Region» — 1 teacher, the badge «For Contribution to the Development of Education of the East Kazakhstan Region» — 1 teacher, the Certificate of Honor of the Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region — 5 teachers,
the Letter of Gratitude of the Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region — 5 teachers, the «Ybyrai Altynsarin» Badge — 2 teachers, the «Excellence in Education» Badge — 4 teachers, the Gratitude of the Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan — 10 teachers.
Certificates for the title and grants of «Best Organization of Secondary Education – 2026» were awarded:
Grand Prix: CSE «Lyceum No. 44 named after Oralkhan Bokey» of the Education Department of the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk — 20 million tenge;
1st place: CSE «Secondary School No. 9 of the city of Altai» of the Education Department of the Altai District — 18 million tenge;
2nd place: CSE «Kurchum Secondary School No. 5» of the Education Department of the Kurchum District — 16 million tenge;
3rd place: CSE «Saryterek Secondary School» of the Education Department of the Zaisan District — 14 million tenge.
At the conclusion of the August conference, the main tasks to be implemented in the new 2026–2027 academic year were set before the pedagogical community.
