
Ensuring reliable mobile communications and internet access for the population, especially in rural areas, remains one of the region's key priorities. The West Kazakhstan Region has 405 rural settlements, of which 372 (92%) have internet access. Residents of 376 villages (93%) also have access to mobile voice communication services.
The results of the region's telecommunications and internet development efforts during the first half of the year were presented at a briefing held by the Regional Communications Service.
