Efforts to improve the quality of telecommunications and mobile internet services continue systematically across the West Kazakhstan Region. Currently, 372 out of 405 rural settlements (92%) have internet access, while 376 settlements (93%) are covered by mobile communications. These updates were presented by Nurgisa Malikuly Kamashev, Head of the Department of Digital Technologies of the West Kazakhstan Region, during a briefing held at the Regional Communications Service.
"In accordance with the President's instructions, ensuring reliable access to quality telecommunications and internet services remains one of our key priorities. This work is being carried out step by step, and internet coverage across the region continues to grow each year, with particular attention given to remote rural communities," said the Head of the Department.
In 2025, telecommunications operators installed new base stations in 21 villages and at two road border checkpoints, while upgrading existing stations in 202 villages. This year, new base stations are planned for the cities of Oral and Aksai, as well as 10 rural settlements, with network modernization scheduled for an additional eight villages.
