    Kazakhstan Continues to Promote Legal Awareness Among Tourists

    As part of the implementation of the "Law and Order" initiative and to enhance legal awareness and ensure travel safety, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan has prepared a series of informational materials explaining the rights and responsibilities of tourists in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Tourism Activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan" No. 211 dated 13 June 2001.

    The information materials outline the key rights of tourists, including the right to obtain reliable information on entry and stay regulations, access to emergency medical assistance, protection of their legal rights and interests, and compensation for damages in cases provided for by the legislation.

    Special attention is also given to the responsibilities of tourists, such as complying with the laws of the country of temporary stay, respecting natural and cultural heritage sites, observing entry, stay and transit regulations, and following personal safety rules throughout their journey.

    These awareness-raising activities are aimed at promoting a culture of responsible tourism, improving legal literacy among travelers, and creating a safe and secure tourism environment.

    The Tourism Department of the East Kazakhstan Region encourages all travelers to familiarize themselves with their rights and responsibilities before traveling and to comply with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the country they are visiting.
