For the first time in the history of the North Kazakhstan Region, a full-length feature film is being produced, dedicated to the unique Botai civilization—one of Kazakhstan's most significant historical and cultural legacies. The project is of strategic importance for both the region and the country. It is being implemented in line with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's directive to promote the development of the creative industries in Kazakhstan's regions. As the flagship creative project of the North Kazakhstan Region, the film brings together international expertise and the talent of local professionals.
The principal stage of filming is now underway and will take place not only in Petropavl but also across several districts of the region. The film aims to introduce a broad audience to the remarkable history of the Botai culture and present the North Kazakhstan Region as the cradle of the Great Steppe civilization.
The head of the region wished the cast and crew every success, inspiration, and creative achievement, expressing confidence that the film will become a landmark cultural event and proudly represent the North Kazakhstan Region both in Kazakhstan and internationally.
