Medical professionals honored in North Kazakhstan Region

A ceremonial event dedicated to Medical Workers' Day was held in the North Kazakhstan Region. The head of the region congratulated healthcare professionals on their professional holiday, recognizing their invaluable contribution to protecting the lives and health of the region's residents.

"As President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has emphasized, doctors are the heroes of peacetime. The development of the healthcare system and support for medical professionals remain among the key priorities of the state's policy.

The region continues to implement a large-scale modernization of the healthcare sector. Over the past three years, healthcare funding has increased by more than 2.5 times—from KZT 3.9 billion in 2022 to KZT 10.4 billion in 2025. All ongoing projects are aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of medical services, strengthening the sector's workforce, and creating comfortable working conditions for healthcare professionals," Gauez Nurmukhambetov said.

During this period, three modern outpatient clinics, each with a capacity of 250 patient visits per shift, have been built across the region. More than 60 healthcare facilities have been modernized, and medical organizations have received over 600 units of advanced medical equipment.

Special attention is being given to the development of rural healthcare. As part of the national project, 46 new healthcare facilities have been constructed in the region's districts, significantly improving access to high-quality medical services for rural residents.

The modernization of healthcare infrastructure continues. This year, construction will begin on a 100-bed hospital and a polyclinic with a capacity of 250 visits per shift in the Aiyrtau District, as well as a new emergency medical services station in Petropavlovsk. Construction of a modern polyclinic in the village of Beskol is also ongoing.
