Kazakhstan and France discussed joint cooperation

Almaty, October 2, 2026 - Deputy Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty Rashid Yerishev met with representatives of Business France Agency and the Consulate General of France in Almaty. The meeting took place following the opening of the Business France Regional office in Almaty. During the meeting, the representatives of Business France outlined the agency’s activities and its role in supporting French companies seeking to expand their presence in Kazakhstan and the wider Central Asian region. The parties exchanged views on opportunities to further develop Kazakh-French economic cooperation, with a particular focus on facilitating business contacts, attracting French investment and technologies, and promoting bilateral business missions and B2B engagements. In this context, Kazakhstan’s potential as a regional platform for French companies looking to expand their operations in Central Asia was highlighted. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to strengthen cooperation between Business France, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and relevant institutions with a view to promoting new investment projects, technological partnerships and business ties.
