Tatarstan Expands Direct Air Services to Kazakhstan

Consul General of Kazakhstan in Kazan Yerlan Iskakov met with Anton Mattis, Deputy Director General and Commercial Director of Nordwind Airlines, to discuss the launch of direct passenger flights.

During the meeting, the importance of expanding direct air services from Russia to Kazakhstan was emphasized as a means of further developing cooperation between Kazan and cities across Kazakhstan in tourism, business, culture, sports and other areas.

The launch of the new route is expected to facilitate greater cooperation between companies and citizens of the two countries, meet the growing demand for direct air travel, and improve Kazakhstan’s transport accessibility.

Regular flights on the Astana–Kazan route will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, using Boeing 737 aircraft.
