The State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a round table with representatives of the business community and the "Atameken" National Chamber of Entrepreneurs. The participants discussed the development of tax and customs administration, taking into account the objectives outlined in the Address to the people of Kazakhstan delivered by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on October 28, 2026.

In his Address, the Head of State outlined priorities for the accelerated development of a digital state, the implementation of artificial intelligence, and the optimization of tax and customs procedures through the use of digital technologies. These issues became an important part of the discussion.

Participants also explored ways to make tax and customs administration more transparent, user-friendly, and predictable for businesses, and to ensure that digital services provide genuine value in the day-to-day operations of entrepreneurs. "Digitalization should help eliminate administrative barriers and make government procedures more convenient for citizens and businesses alike"—this principle underpins the ongoing development of the Committee’s services.

During the round table, discussions covered legislative changes in the realm of tax administration, current issues regarding tax and customs procedures, the development of information systems and digital services, and the interaction between the state and the business sector.

Representatives of the Committee outlined existing digital solutions and plans for the further enhancement of tax and customs administration, including initiatives scheduled for implementation by the end of the current year. In particular, they demonstrated a feature for calculating taxes and mandatory payments on payroll with a single click—a tool designed to significantly simplify compliance with tax obligations, especially for small businesses.

An open dialogue with entrepreneurs helps the Committee improve its operations and develop a service-oriented model based on clear requirements, predictable procedures, and timely support for taxpayers. At the same time, transitioning a service to an electronic format must be accompanied by a genuine simplification of the procedure itself.

The proposals voiced by the round-table participants will be studied and considered in future work aimed at improving administrative procedures and digital services.

Following the meeting, a decision was made to establish a Business Council, which will include representatives from the business community. The Council will serve as a permanent platform for systematic interaction between the government and entrepreneurs, providing a space to discuss emerging issues and develop agreed-upon proposals for the further improvement of tax and customs administration.
