As part of the 9th Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable (KGIR-2026), held in Shymkent, agreements and other documents worth a total of USD 4.8 billion were signed.
The event brought together more than 500 investors and business representatives from over 40 countries to discuss Kazakhstan's investment potential and new opportunities for cooperation.
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov emphasized Kazakhstan's openness to long-term investment and noted that priority would be given to projects in manufacturing, the agro-industrial complex, energy, IT infrastructure, and the development of high-tech cities.
Kazakhstan is currently implementing mechanisms to support foreign investors, facilitate investment projects, and create favorable conditions for doing business.
Since gaining independence, Kazakhstan has attracted nearly half a trillion US dollars in foreign direct investment. Today, the country continues to strengthen its investment appeal, remaining the largest recipient of foreign investment in Central Asia.
