Kuala Lumpur, 21 October 2026 – Ahead of Kazakhstan's Republic Day, the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Malaysia organised a meeting between Kazakhstan students studying at Malaysian universities and representatives of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).
In his welcoming remarks, Consul of Kazakhstan in Malaysia Kyran Orynbekov congratulated the participants on the upcoming national holiday, highlighting the historical significance of Republic Day and the ongoing political and socio-economic reforms in Kazakhstan.
The Consul placed particular emphasis on the country's state youth policy. He noted that Kazakhstan's new Constitution, adopted in March this year, is largely oriented towards the younger generation and is intended to serve as an important guiding framework for their future.
During the lecture, Director of the KASE Academy Abylai Syzdykov provided an overview of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, its role in the country's financial system, and the key features of Kazakhstan's capital market.
Participants were introduced to major financial instruments, stock exchange trading mechanisms, and the interactions among key capital market participants. Particular attention was given to investment principles and the development of an investment culture.
The second part of the programme focused on career opportunities in the financial industry. KASE Managing Director Makhabbat Yermekbayeva outlined professions in demand in the capital market, the knowledge and skills required to succeed in the sector, and opportunities for professional growth and career development at the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange.
During an interactive session, students had the opportunity to ask questions directly to KASE representatives and discuss practical aspects of employment and professional development in Kazakhstan's financial sector.
The lecture contributed to improving students' financial literacy and broadening their understanding of career opportunities in Kazakhstan. Held ahead of Republic Day, the event also carried special significance in fostering a sense of patriotism among young Kazakhstan citizens studying abroad, preserving their national identity, and strengthening their awareness of the role they can play in shaping the country's future.
