The III Republican “Anağa Tağzym” Forum Held in Kyzylorda

The III Republican Forum “Anağa Tağzym” was held today at the House of Friendship under the theme “The Mother Brand: The Code of Upbringing in the Digital Era.”

The forum brought together representatives from across Kazakhstan, including Kyzylorda Region Akim Murat Yergesbayev; Lyazzat Suleimen, Deputy Chairperson of the National Commission for Women’s Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Kunsulu Zakariya, scientist and biotechnologist and one of the developers of Kazakhstan’s QazVac vaccine; Nazipa Shanai, member of the National Kurultai of Kazakhstan and Chairperson of the Council of Mothers; Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Svetlana Aitbayeva; Kairat Kambarov, Chairman of the Committee for Youth and Family Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information; Magripa Yembergenova, Director of the Department for Maternal and Child Health at the Ministry of Health; singer Madina Sadvakasova; as well as delegates from all regions of the country.

The forum aims to highlight the important role and high status of mothers in the spiritual life of Kazakhstan, recognize individuals who make a significant contribution to the upbringing of the younger generation, promote positive examples of responsible parenthood, and strengthen family values and traditions of national upbringing.

Addressing the participants, Regional Akim Murat Yergesbayev thanked the guests and delegates for attending the forum, which is being held for the third time.

As he noted, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has repeatedly emphasized the fundamental importance of the family and the special role of mothers in Kazakh society.

“Respect for the mother is one of the noble values of the Kazakh people, rooted deep in our history. The family is the foundation of the nation, while the mother is the unshakable pillar of the family,” the regional Akim said, quoting the Head of State.

He also highlighted the role of the Anağa Tağzym Center, built in Kyzylorda in honor of mothers, as well as the Family Centers that provide support and become a place where young families can receive assistance and guidance.

“These facilities serve the interests of our people and have become a reliable source of support for women, mothers and young families,” Murat Yergesbayev noted.

At the same time, he emphasized that rapid technological development and the emergence of artificial intelligence are fundamentally changing the environment in which children grow and develop.

“Today, times have changed. Digital technologies are developing rapidly, and we have entered the era of artificial intelligence. The flow of information has increased many times over. As our President has noted, these global changes bring not only new opportunities but also new challenges.

“In these circumstances, the role of mothers in society and within the family has become even more important and responsible. Our key task in the digital era is to provide the younger generation with education and values-based upbringing that meet the demands of the times,” the regional Akim stressed.

The participants noted that mothers today are not only responsible for the traditional aspects of childcare and upbringing. They also play an increasingly important role in helping children navigate the digital environment, critically assess information, distinguish reliable sources from misinformation, and develop sound values and life principles.

Against this backdrop, particular attention at the forum was given to the challenges of parenting in the digital age and to the evolving role and mission of mothers in modern society.

The speakers shared their views on preserving and passing on traditions, shaping the values and aspirations of the younger generation, the contribution of women scientists to Kazakhstan’s development, the status and well-being of mothers and children, support for young talent, the role of mothers in shaping a child’s personality, family values, new social initiatives, and women’s health.

The forum provided a platform for an open exchange of views on how traditional family values can be preserved and strengthened while responding to the realities and challenges of the digital age.
