On October 2, 2026, a solemn event dedicated to Teacher's Day was held at the Yertis Concert Cultural Center with the participation of Akim of the East Kazakhstan region Saktaganov Nurumbet Amanovich.
The festive event was attended by representatives of the Department for Quality Assurance in the field of education of the East Kazakhstan region, the NGO "Local Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of the East Kazakhstan region", the branch of JSC NCPC "Orleu" in the East Kazakhstan region of the Institute of Professional Development, university rectors, heads of city and district education departments, veterans of the field education, heads and teachers of educational organizations, social partners and media representatives.
The guests of the holiday visited an exhibition of artistic creativity of school and college students, as well as an exhibition of educational and fiction literature from bookstores and libraries in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
A special festive information bulletin (newspaper) was also presented in the lobby, which featured achievements in the field of education for the 2025-2026 academic year, and a screening of the winners of the "Congratulations" video contest prepared for Teacher's Day.
As part of the festive event, for their long—term contribution to the development of the education system, 3 teachers were awarded the Order of "Kurmet", the medal "Yeren Yenbegi ushin" — 4 teachers, the medal "Yenbek Ardageri" — 3 teachers, the badge "Y. Altynsarin" — 4 teachers, badge "Uzdigi bilim beru salasyn" — 2 teachers, Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan — 1 teacher, Letter of Appreciation from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan — 3 teachers, Certificate of Honor from the akim of the region — 3 teachers, Letter of Appreciation from the akim of the region — 1 teacher.
According to the results of the 2025-2026 academic year rating, the diplomas of the Department of Education were awarded to the "Best Department of Education – 2026 for General Secondary Education", the Department of Education of Glubokovsky district also received Ust-Kamenogorsk Higher Polytechnic College, which became the best college in 2026.
A specially prepared concert program was presented for the honored guests, veterans of the field of education and teachers of the region.
