
Jeddah, October 4, 2026 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Cooperation Organization Madiyar Menilbekov met with the newly appointed Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Mr. Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed.
During the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated the Secretary-General on his election to the position and wished him every success in his tenure as Secretary-General of the OIC, as well as in advancing the Organization’s international mission.
The Ambassador presented the Secretary-General with the original congratulatory letter from Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi on the occasion of his election as the new Secretary-General of the OIC.
The parties also discussed the current state and prospects for developing cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the OIC General Secretariat, as well as ways to further strengthen collaboration in areas of mutual interest. Particular attention was paid to enhancing engagement within the OIC framework, strengthening solidarity and unity among Member States, and promoting Kazakhstan’s international initiatives within the Organization.
The parties reaffirmed their interest in further developing constructive engagement and strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Organization.
