
30 September and 1 October 2026, Riga. Dauren Karipov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan, met with the newly appointed heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia – Deputy State Secretary and Political Director Juris Poikāns and Director-General of the Directorate for Bilateral Relations Kaspars Ozoliņš.
During the meetings, topical issues of Kazakhstani-Latvian cooperation were discussed, both in bilateral and multilateral formats, including cooperation within the framework of the strategic dialogue between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Union. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of specific joint projects in transport and logistics, as well as in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The parties agreed to step up their efforts, including through the exchange of official and business delegations, to give further impetus to Kazakhstani-Latvian relations.
