
On September 24, 2026, a seminar on “Current Issues of Tax Legislation” was held at the premises of the East Kazakhstan Regional Branch of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken” in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
The event was attended by employees of the Department of State Revenues in the East Kazakhstan Region, taxpayers, participants in foreign economic activity, consulting companies, as well as representatives of the mass media and bloggers.
The seminar was opened with a welcoming speech by Kazybek Kadesovich Koishinov, Deputy Head of the Department of State Revenues in the East Kazakhstan Region.
During the seminar, specialists from the Department of State Revenues provided explanations on a number of current issues.
In particular, participants received information on VAT registration requirements effective from 2026. The seminar also addressed prohibitions and restrictions applicable to goods within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Particular attention was paid to the taxation of income earned by individuals engaged in private legal practice, as well as the procedure for sending notifications concerning discrepancies identified as a result of desk-based tax control in relation to individual income tax.
In addition, specialists explained the deadlines and procedure for the payment of property tax and land tax by individuals.
The participants were also informed about the procedure for collecting a taxpayer’s (tax agent’s) tax debt from the accounts of their debtors.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, during which participants had the opportunity to receive answers from Department specialists to their questions.
Holding such seminars contributes to improving tax literacy among the public and business representatives, promoting a uniform understanding of tax legislation requirements, and fostering constructive cooperation between state revenue authorities and taxpayers.
