As a result of the migration exchange, according to data for January-July 2026, 1380 people left the district and 1094 people arrived in the district. Compared to January-July 2025, the number of arrivals in the Altai regionincreased by 1.6%, and the number of departures decreasedby 5%. 223 people arrived from other regions of the republic against 207 people in the same period last year.
The largest outflow from the district was to other districts of the region (1095 people, or 79.3% of the total). In January-July 2025, 1113 people, or 76.6%, respectively, left. 40 people left for neighboring countries (2.9% of the total departures), for the corresponding period, 67 people, or 4.6%, respectively.
As a result of external and internal migration in January- July 2026, there was a decrease of 268 people against 377 people in January- July 2025.
