Deputies of the Ust-Kamenogorsk City Maslikhat visited schools in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk to monitor the organization of school meals.
During the visits, the deputies reviewed the menus, the organization of student meals, the condition of school canteens, as well as the procedures for recording students’ attendance at the canteen and receiving free meals.
Based on the results of the monitoring, recommendations were made to the Department of Education of the City of Ust-Kamenogorsk to improve the organization of student meals. In particular, it was recommended to adjust the current menu, taking into account the suggestions of parent committee members and catering quality control commission members, in order to ensure balanced and varied nutrition for students. The recommendations included providing appropriate side dishes as part of main meals and expanding the range of beverages.
It is also necessary to ensure uninterrupted operation of the hardware and software system used to record students’ attendance at the canteen and monitor the provision of free meals.
