• Explain to elderly people that they should not blindly trust strangers, even if they claim to be employees of banks, social services, or law enforcement agencies.
• If callers address you by your full name and know your residential address, this does not mean they are official representatives. All necessary information can be obtained in various ways and may be publicly available online.
• Always ask for the full name and position of the employee calling you, and to verify this information, call the official call center of the organization the caller claims to represent.
• If a phone number of a close person appears on your phone, but their voice sounds unclear and they say they are in trouble and ask for money to be transferred, end the call and call that person back yourself.
• Never disclose your personal data, full bank card details including card expiration date, CVC/CVV code, as well as your password and account balance to anyone.
• Remember: bank employees, call center operators of financial organizations, and law enforcement officers will never ask for personal data over the phone. Such confidential information is requested only by fraudsters!
