    "The licensing process for conducting microfinance activities in Kazakhstan is regulated by:

    • The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan ""On Microfinance Activities"";
    • Resolution No. 108 of the Board of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market dated November 23, 2020 (hereinafter referred to as the Licensing Rules).

    The license to conduct microfinance activities is issued by the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market (the Agency).

    The Licensing Rules for microfinance activities establish the procedure for issuing a license or a motivated refusal, the procedure for re-issuance, issuing duplicates, suspension, or termination of the license to conduct microfinance activities.

    To obtain a license for conducting microfinance activities, the service recipient submits an application for a license to the service provider using the form in accordance with Appendix 2 to the Licensing Rules for microfinance activities, along with the required documents.

    Documents are submitted by the service recipient electronically via the “Electronic Government” web portals www.egov.kz and www.elicense.kz, in accordance with the state service standard “Issuance of a License to Conduct Microfinance Activities” as per Appendix 1 (List of Basic Requirements for the Provision of State Services) to the Licensing Rules for microfinance activities.

    The license to conduct microfinance activities is issued by the authorized body within 30 working days from the date of document submission."
