    Question

How will compensation be provided if the funds of the Insurance Payments Guarantee Fund are insufficient?

    Answer

This mechanism is established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Guarantee Fund.

If the guarantee reserve for insurance payments is insufficient, the Fund collects emergency contributions from participating insurance companies.

If the combined amount of mandatory and emergency contributions is still not enough, the Fund uses its own capital.
If both the guarantee reserve and the Fund’s capital are insufficient, the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and other organizations may provide loans to the Fund.
Compensation will be made using these borrowed funds, which will later be repaid through emergency contributions from participating insurance companies.
