Akimat of Atyrau region
How are things going with the production of local agricultural products in the region, is there any progress?
Depending on the climatic conditions of the territory known to you, arable land is cultivated exclusively on irrigated fields, and the basis of the sown area is the possessions of medium and small peasant farms. The main cultivated agricultural crops are vegetables, melons, potatoes and fodder crops (turner, annual sowing grasses, corn for silage, etc.).
If we compare the indicators for the last five years, then 2016-2020:
- sown area increased from 7,604 ha, 9,327 ha or by 122%;
Production volumes:
- vegetables from 71,703 tons, by 90,243 tons or by 125.8%;
- garden from 28,988 tons, 36,764 tons or by 126.8%;
- potatoes increased from 25,236 tons to 28,642 tons, or by 113.5%, respectively, increasing the yield per hectare. We believe that the increase in production indicators is the result of subsidiary support within the framework of budget programs in the field of agriculture, the wide involvement of advanced technologies in production and the enthusiasm of citizens for farming.
