In what cases can citizens be removed from the register of those in need of housing?
According to paragraph 1 of Article 74 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 16, 1997 "On Housing Relations", deregistration of citizens in need of housing from the state housing stock or housing rented by a local executive body in a private housing stock is carried out in the following cases:
- if the grounds for providing a dwelling place from the state housing stock or a dwelling place rented by a local executive body in private housing stock have disappeared;
- departure for permanent residence in another locality or termination of labor relations in a state enterprise or state institution;
- submission by a citizen of untrue information about the need for housing from the state housing stock or housing rented by a local executive body in a private housing stock;
- obtaining a land plot and completing the construction of one's own dwelling or acquiring a dwelling;
- obtaining a rental dwelling without the right to redeem.
