The creation of trade infrastructure is one of the 2 directions of the National Trade Development Project for 2021-2025.
The ORC will play a role in reducing the import dependence of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 6 commodity items, and in saturating the food market with price stability in the NWFP.
At the 1st stage, in 2021-2022, 7 ORCS will be created, which will have their own specialization:
- 3 ORC distribution centers in the cities of Nur-Sultan, Shymkent and Almaty. (the total transshipment capacity will be 1.4 million pallets per year);
- 4 storage centers in the village of Michurino and Aksu, Pavlodar region; Kapshagai, Shengelda rural district, Almaty region; Shu, Zhambyl region (the total capacity of one-time storage will be about 80,000 76.5 thousand tons).
The proposed NTS model will be implemented through a private finance initiative.
To date, the business plan for the PPP project has already received most of the industry conclusions.
MIT is approaching the final organizational stage of the 1st stage-the conclusion of a PPP contract.
