On October 13, 2026, in Kokshetau, the Department of Digitization and Archives of Akmola Region and "Auyil Telecom" LLP signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of rural development and expanding access to broadband Internet.
The parties intend to work together to improve communication quality in rural settlements, develop telecommunication infrastructure, and expand access for residents of remote areas to modern digital services.
"We are convinced that digitization is primarily about people and social justice. It does not matter whether a large community or just a few dozen residents live in a village — we must not leave any settlement behind. High-quality Internet in rural areas provides a fundamental opportunity for development: children gain access to modern knowledge, young people to advanced professions, and local entrepreneurs to new markets. By bringing digital infrastructure to every village, we are investing in the main wealth of our region — human capital," emphasized Magzhan Yarzhan.
During the meeting, representatives of "Auyil Telecom" LLP presented the project and the main directions of its implementation. The participants also discussed prospects for further cooperation, including opportunities to attract investment and develop communication networks in rural areas.
"We strive to introduce modern digital solutions and artificial intelligence technologies in rural areas. We have concrete plans, but their implementation largely depends on infrastructure, given the scale of the country's territory: somewhere thousands of families live, and somewhere only about a dozen houses. In this regard, we have identified key areas of work, the first of which is the development of wireless Internet using FWA technology," noted Seilov Amirali Azhibekovich, General Director of "Auyil Telecom" LLP.
The signed memorandum provides for the coordination of joint actions aimed at increasing Internet accessibility in rural settlements of Akmola Region. The development of communications will expand opportunities for residents to access state and other digital services, as well as create additional conditions for the development of rural territories.
