The city of Ridder is one of the largest industrial regions in the East Kazakhstan region.
As of July 1, 2026, there are 606 economic entities (enterprises, organizations, and institutions of all forms of ownership) registered in the statistical register of Ridder. Of the total number of economic entities, 583 (96,2%) are small, 20 (3,3%) are medium-sized, and 3 (0, 5%) are large. According to the forms of ownership, there are 68 state-owned entities, 509 private entities, and 29 foreign entities.

Industry
In January-June 2026, the output of industrial products by enterprises in the city of Ridder amounted to 91624,9 million tenge, which is 3,7% or 3261,1 million tenge more than in 2025 (88363,8 million tenge).
The city-forming enterprise of the region Kazzinc LLP is implementing the project:
- reconstruction of the processing plant of the Ridder mining and processing complex of Kazzinc LLP.
Investments
The total volume of investments in fixed assets was 24865,9 million tenge, down by 3917,7 million tenge or 13,6% compared to January-June 2025 (28783,6 million tenge). The IFU was 81,8%.

The number of horses has increased by 229 heads or 6,8% (3362 heads), reaching 3591 heads.
Business
The number of active small and medium-sized enterprises is 2837, which is 378 units or 11,8% lower than in 2025 (3215 units). The share of active SMEs among the registered ones (3024 units) is 93,8%.
As of July 1, 2026, there are 404 active small business enterprises registered with the statistical office, an increase of 14 units or 3,6% compared to the same period in 2025 (390 enterprises). The share of active enterprises among the registered ones (464 enterprises) is 87,1%.
Trading and other services
