Management of water supply and sanitation

The main task of the Department is to implement the state policy in the field of water supply and sanitation within localities.

To solve this task, the Management performs the following functions:

1) participation in the formation and conduct of inter-sectoral coordination, monitoring and analysis of the activities of local Executive bodies in the field of water supply and sanitation within localities;

2) participation in the development and coordination of state, sectoral and regional development programs;

3) monitoring of water supply systems and wastewater disposal of wastewater in the drainage system, and maintenance of water supply and sanitation;

4) methodological support in the field of water supply and sanitation within localities;

5) subsidizing the cost of drinking water;

6) development of rules for using water supply and sanitation systems in localities;

7) development of rules for receiving waste water in wastewater disposal systems of settlements;

8) development of rules for technical operation of water supply and sanitation systems in localities;

9) development of standard rules for calculating consumption rates for water supply and (or) wastewater services for water users who do not have metering devices;

10) development of the procedure for subsidizing the cost of services for supplying drinking water from particularly important group and local water supply systems that are non-alternative sources of drinking water supply;

11) development of the procedure for leasing and trust management of water facilities that provide water supply to cities and rural localities;

12) development of rules for the selection, installation and operation of water metering devices in water supply and sanitation systems.
