The Department of Monitoring and State Control

The Department of Monitoring and State Control (hereinafter referred to as the “Department”) is a structural subdivision of the Committee of Tourism Industry under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the “Committee”).

The Department’s primary mission is to participate in the formation and implementation of state policy in the areas overseen by the Committee; to implement state policy in providing public services in the tourism sector; to monitor and control information related to tourism entities; to review applications from individuals and legal entities within its authority; to maintain registers of tour operators, travel agents, guides, tour guides, and tourism instructors; to inform those engaged in tourism activities, as well as tourists, about potential risks in the host country or region; to coordinate the activities of the system administrator for ensuring the rights of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of outbound tourism; and to provide clarifications to citizens and government bodies on management issues, including internet resources and the Committee’s website.
