By order of the commander air defence Forces from 17 April 2008 No. 146 "On establishing the date of formation of air defence Forces of Armed forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan", the date of formation of air defence Forces of Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan on August 18.
The main tasks of the air defense Forces:
ensuring the protection of air borders of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
air defense of state, administrative and military facilities;
performing combat tasks for aviation support of other types and branches of the armed forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The air defense Force consists of:
military air forces;
air defense troops;
parts of direct subordination;
parachute training center;
air traffic controls;
