Structure — Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan is an Agency which performs functions of the implementation of state policies in the field of science within the competence of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and controls functions in the fields referred to its competence.

Science and Higher Education Quality Assurance Committee Republican Public Institution “Science and Higher Education Quality Assurance Committee” of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan» is an agency that performs, within its competence, implementation and control functions in the field of science, higher and postgraduate education, and participates in the strategic functions of the Ministry within the competence of the department. Objectives: participation in the formation and implementation of a unified state policy in the field of science, higher and postgraduate education, within the competence of the department the implementation of state regulation in the field of education in order to ensure high quality of educational services provided by organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education through external quality assessment of the education system, state control, as well as quality control of training of scientific personnel.

The Committee carries out its activities in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acts of the President and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and other regulatory legal acts. The Committee enters into civil law relations on its own behalf. The Committee has the right to act as a party to civil law relations on behalf of the State, if it is authorized to do so in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Tasks of the Committee: 1) implementation of the state policy in the field of higher and postgraduate education; 2) creating the necessary conditions for obtaining higher and (or) postgraduate education.
