The main tasks of the Directorate include ensuring interaction and communication with media representatives and the public, as well as directly participating in the formation and implementation of the Ministry’s information policy in the areas of digitalization, innovation development, and the aerospace industry.
The Information Support Directorate is responsible for preparing and disseminating announcements, press releases, informational and reference materials, as well as photographic materials related to the Ministry’s activities. Additionally, the department’s employees compile analytical, statistical, informational, and other materials on the Ministry’s key areas of activity and its subordinate organizations in industries overseen by the government agency.
Among the Directorate’s priority areas of work are assisting the media in obtaining complete and objective information on various aspects of the Ministry’s activities and its structural divisions, preparing responses to media inquiries, and utilizing PR tools such as initiating and conducting events and organizing public appearances aimed at shaping a positive image and clarifying the Ministry’s initiatives. When necessary, the Directorate’s employees facilitate the participation of the Ministry’s leadership and specialists in media appearances and coordinate the preparation of informational and analytical materials.
Furthermore, the Directorate employs various forms and channels of public information dissemination, including press conferences, press tours, briefings, interviews, and events involving the Ministry’s leadership and media representatives.
The Directorate's authority also includes handling requests for materials and responses to be provided to citizens who contact the blog of the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It also monitors the relevance of responses provided by the Ministry’s structural divisions and subordinate organizations, ensuring their timely publication on the blog platform.
Additionally, the Directorate facilitates interaction with the authorized state body in the field of mass media, press services of other government agencies and companies, and media editorial offices regarding the implementation of the state information policy.
In the event of crisis situations, the Directorate takes measures to promptly provide commentary and communicate the official position of the agency to the public, including preparing materials for discussion. To prevent crisis situations, the Directorate’s employees ensure continuous monitoring of the information landscape and trends.
Among other tasks of the Directorate are coordinating the content management of the Ministry’s official website and developing new communication channels, including the Ministry’s social media accounts.
