Department of Industry and Social Development of NKR

The Department is responsible for coordinating work in the field of industrial development, subsoil use, investment, innovation, local content, entrepreneurship and business, trade, tourism, technical regulation, import substitution and export.

The Department monitors the implementation of projects and the creation of new industries, the timely commissioning of facilities and reaching the design capacity, the development of innovative activity, the activities of industrial enterprises, in the development of raw materials, attracting investors, reducing administrative barriers, Kazakhstani content in public procurement of GWS, work business communities with government agencies, implementation of business support programs, development of tourism infrastructure, pricing of socially significant food products, work in the field of interregional cooperation, international and cross-border cooperation.

The Department monitors the execution of orders of the Head of State, Presidential Administration, Government, Office of the Prime Minister, regional akim; over the implementation of state programs, over indicators for assessing the effectiveness of the activities of state bodies in the areas under their supervision.
