    Communications and information security division

    General information

    Communications and information security division provides leadership in the field of communications, automation of public services and business processes, and information security in the activities of local executive bodies of the Zhetisu region.

    Tasks:

    • monitoring the provision of information security of state bodies, individuals and legal entities;
    • ensuring information security in the field of ICT for the implementation of the National project "Technological breakthrough through digitalization, science and innovation";
    • ensuring interaction with authorized bodies in the field of digitalization and information security;
    • prevention and prompt response to information security incidents;
      ensuring, within its competence, control over compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
    • implementation of other tasks assigned to the Department, within its competence.

    Functions:

    • Coordination and control over the implementation of activities for the execution of National Projects in the field of digitalization approved by a Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

    • Implementation of digitalization projects in accordance with the areas and projects предусмотренные state programs in the field of digitalization;

    • Conducting activities to promote digitalization projects implemented in the Zhetysu Region;

    • Coordination and control over the implementation by state bodies of the Zhetysu Region of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Access to Information”;

    • Coordination and control over works to ensure communication services and Internet access for the population of the Zhetysu Region;

    • Development of communication networks in the Zhetysu Region in cooperation with other state bodies;

    • Analysis of the availability of broadband Internet access in the settlements of the Zhetysu Region;

    • Ensuring integration of information systems of state bodies in accordance with the rules for integration of informatization objects of the “e-Government” and in compliance with information security requirements defined by the security profile and formalized through a joint information security agreement for state and non-state information systems;

    • Exercising other powers assigned to local executive bodies in the interests of local public administration in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

    • Ensuring compliance with unified requirements in the field of information and communication technologies and information security, as well as the rules for implementing the service model of informatization.
